Childcare services and working as a babysitter

MLL Kainuu provides temporary childcare for families in the Kainuu region. Families can order short-term care to their home according to their own needs.

The babysitters are persons over the age of 16 who have completed the Mannerheim League's childcare course or have been otherwise trained. They are interviewed and their criminal records are checked. The babysitters operate in accordance with The Mannerheim League for Child Welfare's values ​​and principles. They have a have valid professional liability insurance that covers any damage caused by the babysitter.

The babysitters ensure the child's safety, care and well-being according to the parents' instructions so it's important for the child's well-being that the parents reserve time for a discussion at the beginning of the care relationship. The babysitter is obliged to maintain confidentiality in matters concerning the child and the family.
